Stainless steel is a very hard material, which requires special stainless steel processing technology and cutting tools. Stainless steel is used in metal plates, decorative wall panels and decorative pipes, furniture frames, closet poles and handrails. It is a hard metal. Although it can be used for coating, most of them must be processed first. There are mainly the following stainless steel processing tools.
1. Stainless steel processing: circular saw. Hand-held circular saw is a tool for cutting large stainless steel plates. There are two basic types of metal cutting blades. Cheap are abrasive blades or cutting wheels which are made by pressing abrasive into the blades and the fibers are bonded together through the blades. These blades have a limited number of cuts, which makes it impossible to cut very accurately. Special hacksaw blades have thin cuts and specially shaped teeth, and are coated with diamond or carbon. They are suitable for cutting under high edge requirements, and have faster speed and longer service life than abrasive saw blades.
2. Stainless steel processing: power shears. Electric shears are convenient tools for fine cutting (such as curves). When using stainless steel, the main problem is friction. Stainless steel will heat up quickly, and the heat transferred to the blades will soften and break. Select fine-toothed tungsten carbide blades that do not react quickly to heating and run the saw at a lower speed to reduce friction heating effects.
3. Stainless steel processing: band saw. Cutting band saws are used to cut pipes and square stainless steel. Unlike woodworking band saws, this knife cuts on a horizontal bed, and the saw blade passes through the material. Some older metal band saws are upright, while others are used for wood or metal. Saw blades used in stainless steel have tooth shapes similar to those of curved saw blades and are made of tungsten carbide. Whether you use a metal cutting band saw or a multi-function saw, you can set the speed to low for smooth cutting.
4. Stainless steel processing: hand-held tools. Hand-held rotary tools use cutting wheel fittings to cut various materials. Rotary tools with glass fiber reinforced cutting wheel accessories can cut hardened steel. Before starting cutting, open the saw to complete the parameters, lower the saw to the surface, and then let the saw slowly through the stainless steel until the cutting is complete.
